Ouch!
Liam, on the phone with Gran-Gran:
Liam: "I bumped my head!"
Gran-Gran: "What did you bump your head on?"
Liam: "The sidewalk!"
The poor guy took a spill on the sidewalk this morning. He's fine in that he doesn't have a concussion, but he's got quite a headache. I'm figuring the week can only go uphill from here after such an inauspicious start.

Aww poor baby I hope he feels better soon. Lavender & chamomile has been used to alleviate aches, pains, & headaches.
My daughter associates lavender, chamomile, & rose geranium with sleepy time and "I need need to feel better". I make the tea for her and I use the oils in a hydrosol. It aids in relaxation. She's usually knocked out within 10-15 minutes. I sometimes make a tea for her witht he herbs from my garden. I used to use a dream pillow however she gave it to my brother's dog, Mr. Bentley to help him sleep. He thought it was a chew toy. Can you imagine cleaning up that mess? ;-)

Wow - I had no idea when he said that he "bumped his head" that he really, really bumped his head. Give him lots of hugs and kisses from his Gran-Gran.

Oh, how painful that looks. I hope the rest of your week is super to make up for it.

Thanks, everyone, for your sympathy. He's doing much better today - his forehead is quite technicolored, but he says his head doesn't hurt anymore. Thank goodness!
Raw Vegan Momma - thanks for the links :)
I did use some lavender water to clean his head after the tumble and then later on to make some cold compresses for it. Just the scent makes me relax :)
I'm thinking I should get some arnica for the first-aid kit - I haven't tried it myself, but I know a lot of folks who swear by it.

Chiming in late but . . . Wow, that looks horrible. I hope it's a fading memory now.

that is one big owee.
yes arnica works miracles. you can get it as a spray for the littlies: a couple of squirts in the mouth. don't rub the arnica cream onto broken skin.
loads of love X
